Jet grout columns were installed to reduce the permeability and increase the compressive strength of
the subsurface soils. The jet grouted elements functioned both as a cut-off and support of excavation
wall behind a secant pile wall. Jet grout columns were installed to about 50 feet in depth at five
different locations.
