Project Overview: |
|
Jet grouting was performed at the entrance and exit locations of three shafts for two new sewer
tunnels prior to installation of the 15 feet diameter tunnels. Continuous rows of interconnected,
jet grouted columns were installed to improve weak ground conditions at depths of 10 to 40 feet.
Over 240 columns were installed for the twin tunnels constructed with a TBM below the Sacramento
River.
