Drilled micropiles are successfully load tested to twice their design capacity.

Project Overview: |
|
Layne GeoConstruction installed 169, 9” diameter drilled micropiles to depths of 80 feet for
foundation support related to the modernization of an existing rapid transit station. Installation
was completed in a heavily congested urban area, adjacent to a major arterial route.
The 50 ton capacity drilled micropiles were successfully load tested to twice their design load.
