Drilled micropile load test achieves specified design load of 160 kips.

Project Overview: |
|
Layne GeoConstruction designed and installed 200, 7-inch diameter drilled micropiles for support
of a new parking garage facility. Over 80% of the micropiles were installed in 8 feet of headroom,
using two specially manufactured drill rigs.
Average pile depth was approximately 50 feet, and each pile 7” in diameter. Total pile length was
10,000 linear feet, with drilled micropiles achieving the design load of 160 kips.
