Project Overview: Underlying loose beach deposits required densification and stabilization for the proposed construction of a US Post Office building. Vibro compaction was the method chosen to improve subsoil conditions to allow conventional spread footing foundation construction. Vibro compaction points were installed to approximately 25 feet deep, in an equilateral triangular grid pattern.
